Grenada Beaches

Hillsborough Carriacou
Grenada is home to over forty beaches that you can visit. Each of these beaches has its own unique qualities, but the best of them share one big aspect. These beaches are considered hideaways for tourists during non-Holiday times.

Morne Rouge Beach is the smaller more secluded sister beach to the biggest tourist beach in Grenada, Grand Anse Beach. The cove this beach is located in is more closed of than that at Grand Anse, making the waters calmer and area itself more private. The waters here are shallower and warmer and when you swim out into the deepest section you'll still be able to see to the sandy bottom. The Gem Beach Resort is the only hotel on Morne Rouge and offers complete amenities and beach front rooms.

Grenada Location
La Sagesse Beach is located in the southern region of Grenada close to the town of L' Anse aux Epines. This beach is considered the most private on the island and is a prime honeymoon locale. This is not a corporate beach and features smaller hotels and restaurants. The beach itself is a dream, lined with leafy coconut trees and white sands. The L' Anse aux Epines Cottages is the most recommended place to stay near La Sagesse. This is an inexpensive, family owned hotel with only eleven rooms available. With this choice of hotel, you're choosing more its location than the amenities.

On your trip to Grenada you have two main choices. You can visit Grand Anse, the main corporate beach, or you can explore more reclusive spots like Morne Rouge and La Sagesse.
